Abstract

The chat opened the summit by positioning India as the global “AI summit of the Global South”. Brende highlighted the rapid acceleration of AI from chat‑bots to autonomous agents and warned of three systemic constraints: (1) infrastructure (compute, power, bandwidth), (2) the “context gap” (insufficient real‑world data for agents), and (3) trust deficits. Vaishnaw reinforced India’s competitive advantages – massive talent pool, a digital foundation (UPI, Aadhaar) and scale – and urged a partnership‑first approach to build secure, trustworthy AI infrastructure.
